Idea Ultra with 8 mega pixel Rs 10500 only

Mobile services company Idea Cellular has been in the smartphone business for the last two years. The company got this ‘idea’ with the boom of 3G service in the country.

Previously 3G handsets were very expensive. At that point Idea launched two smartphones with 3G service. They were Idea 3G and Idea 3G Blade. They offered special discounts and offers for Idea subscribers. Yet sales was not quite successful.
Though the company became active in the sale of smartphone, they don’t own a production plant. Idea presented smartphones by rebranding models manufactured by Chinese company Huawei and ZTE as well as French company Alcatel.

Those familiar with the mobile phone industry will say that there is nothing unusual about this practice. Many of India’s leading mobile phone companies sell by rebranding Chinese phones.

Idea has now come up with a new smartphone model called Ultra. Idea Ultra is the 12th model of smartphone that the company has launched in two years. It is also Idea’s first phablet. The 5-inch display phone is sold for Rs10,500.

Ultra’s screen resolution is 480×854 pixels. 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory and 32GB expandable memory are its hardware features. It’s operating system is Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).

It has a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. It has a 2000 mAh long-lasting battery assuring five hours of non-stop talk time and 200 hours of standby life.

In terms of connectivity, the Idea Ultra supports 3G, EDGE and GPRS, as well as includes G Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Light Sensor. The company offers 3GB free mobile data and free TV subscription for three months as Diwali offer.
